CME Programs,  Conferences and Public Awareness Campaigns

Pediatric Department has conducted various academic programs in last academic year 2018- 19

1. CME on Breast feeding Week done for all staff in GMC Kollam
2. Full day CME on World Asthma Day by faculties
3. Dr Ajith Krishnan, HOD Pediatrics was the faculty for the following academic programs
   1. Faculty and trainer for  ” PEDIVENT” – Pediatric Ventillation Workshop , SATH
   2. Faculty for Critical Care State CME  2018 at Calicut– Stridor in Children
   3. Faculty for World Asthma Day Celebrations at SATH – GINA guidelines
   4. Faculty  for Critical Care CME at Pushpagiri 2018- Snake Bite in Children
   5. Training Class for doctors regarding AEFI under District Medical Office Kollam
4. CME was conducted for General Practitioners  under IMA ( Chattannoor Branch) on        ‘ Short Febrile Illness’ by Dr Binu Abraham
5. Dr Kiran participated in the” International Child Summit” by NHM in 2019

Public Awareness Education Programs

1. Public Awareness Class on Breast feeding  during Breast feeding week
2. Class for Public regarding ‘Asthma Awareness’  on World Asthma Day
3. ORS use Awareness during World ORS Day 2018
4. Basic Life Support Education Class for High School Children in Kollam District ( 3 High schools)
5. Learning Disability Training for High School Teachers in Kollam District
6. ‘‘ Amma Ariyan” – Awareness Class for mothers of school going Children in Kollam Distrit
